    • Sweet corn - I have used fresh sweet corn kernels. You can shave corn kernels from the corn, use it or can even use frozen sweet corn kernels.
    • Butter - Adds flavor, richness to the corn.
    • Spice powders - This includes red chili powder, pepper powder, jeera powder, garam masala, and chat masala. Adjust spices according to your taste.
    • Lemon juice - Makes it more refreshing and gives a tangy flavor, also balances flavors.

    How to make Masala Corn Step by Step

    1.To a kadai add water, salt let it boil then add 1 cup corn.

    2.Let it cook for 10-12 minutes.

    3.Taste check if it is cooked then switch off.

    4.Transfer to a strainer. Strain water, you can use this for soups.

    5.Measure and take 1 cup corn in a bowl. Add

    1 teaspoon butter
    ⅛ teaspoon pepper powder
    ½ teaspoon chat masala powder
    ½ teaspoon red chili powder
    ¼ teaspoon jeera powder
    ¼ teaspoon garam masala powder

    6. Add 1 teaspoon lemon juice.

    • Cooking Corn - You can cook in open pot or pressure cook corn. If you prefer a crunchy texture, avoid overcooking the corn. Boil just until tender.
    • Spices - This is medium spicy, increase or decrease spices according to your taste.
    • Lemon juice - Use fresh lemon juice for extra tang and flavor.
    • Butter - Use unsalted butter for better control over the salt content.
    • Vegan option - You can use olive oil or vegan butter as a substitute for butter.

    Serving and Storage

    Serve Masala Corn hot or warm for the best flavor. It pairs well with other appetizers or drinks.

        Yes you can skip butter but reduce the spice level accordingly...
