    Corn Chaat is one of the easy chaat recipes that I have tried recently. Do you have a craving for a chaat, here is the instant chaat that you can make within minutes and enjoy. Check cup corn recipe that I posted earlier.

    About Corn Chaat

    Corn Chaat is an Indian style snack that is made using sweet corn kernels, onion, tomato, spice powders, coriander leaves etc. Finally it is topped with sev which makes it so appetizing.

    Like other chat recipes this does not require chat chutneys so you need make in advance. This corn chat is instant and can be made easily and its so quick to satisfy your instant chat cravings. Do try and enjoy!

    Corn Chaat Ingredients

    • Sweet Corn – Choose tender sweet corn that is soft and juicy not the hard ones. Make sure to boil or steam cook it.
    • Onion, Tomato – Chopped onion, tomato is used.
    • Carrot – Carrot is grated and added.
    • Spice powders – Chat masala powder, red chili powder is used.
    • Lemon juice – Lemon juice adds a tangy taste.
    • Coriander leaves – Coriander leaves adds flavor and freshness to the chat.

    How to make Corn Chaat Step by Step

    1.Pressure cook corn for 4-5 whistles, remove the kernels from the cob and set aside. In a teaspoon of butter toast corn for few mins until the edges start to turn brown, Switch off. Get all other ingredients ready.

    2.In a mixing bowl add everything and give a quick mix. While serving garnish with sev and serve.

    Expert Tips

    • You can add chaat chutneys.
    • You can even add raw cucumber bits / mango bits to add more crunch and flavor.
    • Roasting corn in butter gives a great texture and flavor so don’t miss it.
    • Serve immediately after mixing everything.

    Serving and Storage

    Corn Chaat can be served fresh for evening or mid day snacks. This keeps well in fridge for 2 days but I would recommend serving it fresh as onion, tomato may let out water of stored for a long time and ruin the fresh taste.

    Ingredients

    • 1/2 cup sweet corn kernels cooked
    • 1 tablespoon onion chopped finely
    • 1/2 tablespoon tomato
    • 1 tablespoon carrot grated
    • 1/4 teaspoon red chilli powder
    • a generous pinch chat masala powder
    • plain sev to garnish
    • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
    • coriander leaves to garnish
    • 1 teaspoon each chaat chutneys optional – I did not use
    • 1 teaspoon butter
    • salt to taste

      Hi sharmilee…I jus tried d chana masala recepie without coconut today it was the 1st time I prepared..turned out super awesome…and was thinking of making something with corn for evening snacks…just then came across this recipe on fb…thanx so much for ur amazing recepies always… 🙂
