    About Breakfast Cereal Popsicles

Breakfast Cereal Popsicles is a simple dessert made using milk, breakfast cereals and cornflakes. It is a fun way to turn regular breakfast ingredients into a dessert. It is made during summer or when there is leftover cereal at home or when kids ask for something cold.

This popsicle has crunchy texture bits from cereal and cornflakes. As the popsicles freeze, the cereals soften a bit still gives some bite and texture. The colourful cereal pieces makes the popsicles look bright and appealing and make tastes best when served straight from freezer.

This recipe can be changed based on what cereal you have at home and chocos, fruit flavoured cereal or plain cereal all works well. These popsicles can be served as an afternoon snack or after meals and it comes together quickly with simple ingredients. They are easy to make and the result comes really good.

I make popsicles during summer holidays for my kids or as when the cereal is lying too long on my pantry and it takes only few minutes to prepare.

    Expert Tips

    • Better Texture - I crush cornflakes roughly and not too fine for better texture while eating.
    • Adjust Sweetness - I always adjust honey as per taste, some cereals already have different levels of sweetness.
    • Layering - I just add cereals and cornflakes evenly into each mould. This helps every popsicle get good texture.
    • Freezing - I make sure to freeze them for at least 8 hours. Overnight freezing gives best results.
    • Serving - Run the mould under water for few seconds before removing. This helps release the popsicles easily.
    • Variations - You can use any cereal available at home. Different cereals gives different flavour and look.
