Expert Tips
- Choosing strawberries - Choose ripe, sweet, fresh and juicy strawberries. Add it as such as cutting them may release water.
- Chocolate - Milk chocolate is best for this recipe. However you can choose to use half and half of milk chocolate with dark chocolate. Couverture chocolate is best too.
- Oil - Though adding oil is optional I would recommend adding it as it makes the consistency just perfect to pour. Coconut oil is best recommended as it goes well with chocolate. Make sure to use neutral tasting oil.
- Glass - Choose a glass that is medium tall.
- Pouring - You can arrange half of the strawberries then pour melted chocolate first then arrange the rest and pour the remaining chocolate.
Serving and Storage
This is best when served fresh so I would not recommend storing. You can prepare the strawberries ahead and while serving melt the chocolate and pour over and serve it immediately.
FAQS
1. What chocolate is best for chocolate strawberries?
Use good-quality compound chocolate or couverture chocolate. Milk is best preferred for this recipe however, dark and white chocolate can also be used if you prefer.

Yes rinse well to make sure strawberries are clean, but make sure they are completely dry before adding it to glass. Any water can prevent the chocolate from sticking properly.
