    Chia Milk is an easy and delicious drink you can make quickly with just few ingredients. Creamy and delicious chia milk with vanilla flavor is the one I love the most. You can even make chocolate chia milk and other flavorings too according to your choice.

    About Chia Milk

    Chia Milk is a delicious drink made using milk, chia seeds, honey, milk powder, cinnamon powder and vanilla essence. Chia Milk can be made with different flavorings as you like it. This Vanila Chia Milk is a basic and classic version and tastes so good.

    Chia Milk is made by blending milk with other ingredients until combined and served warm or chilled. Chia Milk is best served as a morning drink also a best healthy alternate to other beverages like tea, coffee etc. Boil milk, bloom chia seeds then mix other ingredients and enjoy it chilled!

    Chia Milk is a no cook healthy drink except that you need to boil milk. You can make chia milk the previous night store in fridge. Next day serve Chia milk with fresh cut fruits and your breakfast is done. This is really helpful when you want to plan your breakfast ahead of time.

    Chia Milk is a healthy drink that can be made easily and quickly, the only time it takes is to bloom chia seeds. But if you have bloomed chia seeds then its even more quick. Chia Milk can be relished for breakfast or as a mid morning drink. Do try this easy and tasty chia milk and enjoy!

    Chia Milk Ingredients

    • Chia Seeds – Use black chia seeds. It is readily available in the market or you can check out online.
    • Milk – I have used dairy milk. Make sure to boil and use it. You can replace dairy milk with almond milk or coconut milk or cashew milk or oats milk or even soya milk etc.
    • Honey – I have used honey as sweetener. You can use regular sugar too either white sugar or brown sugar or cane sugar etc.
    • Milk powder – Milk powder adds creaminess and also flavor.
    • Flavoring – I have used pure vanilla essence and cinnamon powder. Though cinnamon powder is optional you can add if you like cinnamon flavor in your drink.

    The flavoring options are are endless. I have shared a few of them below :

    • Vanilla essence
    • Cinnamon powder

    • Badam mix
    • Rose milk extract
    • Pista essence
    • Butterscotch essence

    How to make Chia Milk Step by Step

    1.To a mixing bowl add 1and 1/2 cups boiled milk. Make sure it is cooled down.

    2.Add 1 tablespoon chia seeds to it.

    3.Mix it well first and set aside for 2 hours in fridge.

    4.Now remove from fridge add 1/4 teaspoon vanilla essence.

    5.Add 1 and 1/2 tablespoon milk powder.

    6.Add 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon powder(optional).

    7.Add 3 tablespoon honey. Mix it well.

    8.Give this a quick blend. I used my stick blender, you can use your milk frother too. We just them to blend well thats all.

    9. Chia Milk is ready! Chill it and serve!

    Serve Chia Milk chilled!

    Expert Tips

    • You can use chilled milk or chill it after making and serve it chilled  with a sprinkle of cinnamon powder, yum!
    • You can replace milk with nut milk or coconut milk too.
    • You can replace honey with any of your favorite sweetener. You can add white granulated sugar or brown sugar too.
    • If you like it warm then do not chill the milk, boil cool down for a while then add and blend the ingredients. Serve immediately.
    • You can use bloomed chia seeds too.
    • You can plus or minus the quantity of chia seeds according to your preference.
    • You can use a mixer jar to blend too but use pulse option and pulse for just few times, that is enough.
    • If you like cinnamon flavor add more.

    Serving & Storage

    Chia Milk can be served as such as a beverage or serve it with fresh fruits, nuts and dry fruits. This keeps well for 2 days in fridge.

    FAQS

    1.What is the difference between chia milk and chia pudding?

    Chia Pudding is more thick and spoon-able as we add more chia seeds but Chia Milk is more like a beverage it is runny in consistency, has more milk in it.

    2.Is milk powder mandatory?

    Milk powder is mainly added to make chia milk more creamy also adds a good flavor to it. You can skip it too.
