- Bow tie pasta - I used bow tie pasta for this recipe as it holds the sauce well and mix nicely with vegetables. You can use any pasta shape you have at home.

- Capsicum - capsicum gives mild flavor and little crunch to the dish and it balance well with sauce. You can use any color capsicum based on what you have.

How to make Bowtie Pasta Step by Step
1.Cook pasta along with water and salt until soft. Drain water and keep aside. For more detailed instruction for cooking pasta check here.

2.Heat oil + butter, add jeera let it crackle. Add crushed garlic saute for 2 minutes.

3.Add onion saute till transparent. Then add carrot and capsicum for few minutes. Then add pasta sauce mix well.

4.Add water and let the veggies cook for few minutes. Cook covered until the veggies are slightly soft yet crunchy enough to bite. Then add crushed pepper, mixed herbs and salt. We have already used salt for cooking pasta so add salt accordingly.

5.Mix well. Add the pasta and toss well. Serve hot!

Serve hot with side of your choice and pickle.

- Cooking vegetables - I cook vegetables only for few minutes so it stays little crunchy. Overcooking will make it soft and not good in texture.
- Adding salt - I always check salt before adding at the end. Pasta already has salt so I add little slowly.
- Sauce consistency - I add water little by little to adjust the consistency. I do not make it too dry or too watery.
- Mixing - I mix pasta gently at end so it does not break. I also sometimes add little butter at last for extra taste.
Serving and Storage
Serve Bow Tie Pasta hot as it tastes good when warm. This goes well as dinner or even as evening meal. Store leftover in fridge and use within a day. While reheating I sprinkle little water so it does not become dry.

Ingredients
- 1 cup bow tie pasta
