    Expert Tips

    • You can either use ghee or oil as per your preference.
    • Sometimes I roast the entire packet oh makhana and store it in an airtight container and keep. Later when I want to serve just heat it up add the spices and make the snack ready in a jiffy. But make sure to store in airtight container to retain crispness.
    • Alternatively you can even mix the piri piri masala mix with oil ,add to makhana and mix well.
    • If you keep in flame and add the masala there are chances for the spice to get burnt so I recommend adding spice mix off the flame.
    • If you are roasting in bulk then I suggest to roast it in batches so that its evenly puffed and roasted.

    Serving and Storage

You can serve it for morning snack or along with a cup of tea. You can even pack it for kids snack box to school, in that case I always make it ready the previous night and store in a airtight container and then pack it the next day, this way it stays crispy.
