I have few readers who  keep sending me recipes and this is one from such a loyal reader, she is priyadharshini.... Thank you Priya for the wonderful recipe!! I made few adjustments to suit our taste and here goes the recipe for Masala Chapathi / Khara Chapathi. This is for sure a very welcoming change to our usual rotis, very flavourful and quite easy to put together for dinner.

Note : The color difference is due to the lighting in the kitchen. The actual color is the ones shown in the main pics...just incase if you are wondering about the color difference :)

My Notes:

  • You can use roasted cumin seeds powder instead of cumin seeds.
  • Reg the spice measures, you can experiment them according to your taste.
  • I added kashmiri chilli powder so it gave a good orangeish red color to the chapathi
  • The chapathi is very soft and flavourful that you dont even need any side dish for it.

    1. Yes the dough will keep well for 2 days, but refrigerate it.And few mins before making the chapati bring the dough to room temperature and then roll it.
