    Taak is a Maharashtrain buttermilk made with fresh curd in just 5 mins. It is is traditionally prepared by using wooden churner and fresh curd. So I tried it that way, I am sure you will feel refreshed and will keep you hydrated for long hours.

    About Taak Recipe

    I came across this taak recipe from my friend. As I am fond of of buttermilk thought to try this variation too. It is a summer coolant and so refreshing.

    First to begin with add fresh curd. Add 2 cups water Whisk until frothy you can either handwhisk ir or use beater attachment in mixie. Then add ginger, green chillies, roasted cumin powder and required salt.Finally add coriander leaves.Mix well and set aside. Temper cumin seeds, curry leaves in oil and add it to chill buttermilk, mix well. Rest for 30 minutes and then serve.

    Ingredients

    • 1 cup thick chilled curd
    • 2 cups water
    • 1/2 teaspoon ginger finely chopped
    • 1 no green chilli finely chopped
    • 1/2 teaspoon roasted cumin powder
    • 2 tablespoon coriander leaves finely chopped
    • salt to taste

    To temper:

    • 1 teaspoon oil
    • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
    • 1 tablespoon curry leaves finely chopped

    Instructions

    • To begin with first add fresh curd to a bowl.
    • Add water to it.
    • Churn for 2 mins until frothy.
    • Frothy and creamy.
    • Add all other ingredients to the churned buttermilk.
    • Mix it well and set aside.
    • Heat oil in a tadka pan - add jeera let it crackle then add curry leaves, let it splutter.
    • Add tadka to buttermilk.
    • Mix well and serve chilled.
    • Creamy chilled Taak ready!

    • If you like mint flavour then add few crushed mint leaves.
    • Do not use copper serving glassesto store and serve. There are high chances for it to get spoiled easily.
    • Taak is very refreshing and is meant to be had chilled.
    • Add black salt for an extra zing.

    How to make Taak Recipe

    1.To begin with first add fresh curd to a bowl.add fresh curd

    2.Add water to it.add water

    3.Churn for 2 mins until frothy.churn

    4.Frothy and creamy.frothy

    5.Add all other ingredients to the churned buttermilk. The ingredients add flavour to Taak. taak recipe add others

    6.Mix it well and set aside.taak recipe mix it well

    7.Heat oil in a tadka pan – add jeera let it crackle then add curry leaves, let it splutter.taak recipe add tadka

    8.Add tadka to buttermilk.transfer tadka

    9.Mix well and serve chilled.mix well
