    About Nutella Milkshake

Nutella Milkshake is a drink made with Nutella spread, milk, little sugar and sometimes cocoa powder. You can even add cookies or cornflakes for extra texture and crunch. Nutella is made with hazelnuts and chocolate, so when blended with milk it turns into smooth and frothy milkshake. It is popular in recent years because Nutella is favorite among kids and adults.

This milkshake has a creamy and bit thick consistency. You can make it more frothy if blended for longer. You can add cornflakes or wheat flakes for crunch, some add fruits like banana or apple to make it even more wholesome and filling. Either ways it is tasty and chocolaty.

You can try making variations with Nutella Milkshake. You can also add cocoa powder to make it extra chocolate flavor, you can add scoop of ice cream for richer texture, or just blend Nutella with cold milk for simple version. You can even freeze the mixture and then blend again for more thick shake.

I usually make this for kids during holidays or when they ask for special drink. It is quick to prepare and no big mess in kitchen. They enjoy drinking from tall glass with straw and sometimes I also add few ice cubes on top to make it extra chilled.

    Nutella Milkshake Ingredients

    • Milk - I used chilled milk. You can use full cream milk for more rich taste or toned milk for more light version.
    • Nutella - I just added Nutella spread, it gives strong chocolate hazelnut flavor. You can add little more if you want it more sweet and thick shake.
    • Sugar - I added small spoon sugar, it balances taste. You can skip if you prefer only Nutella sweetness.

    Expert Tips

    • Use chilled milk - I usually use cold milk for making milkshake, sometimes I even keep it in freezer for few minutes so it's extra chill.
    • Adjust sweetness - If Nutella itself is enough for you then skip sugar, but sometimes I add little extra Nutella when I want stronger chocolate flavor.
    • Add fruits - I have used banana few times, it goes really well with Nutella, makes the shake more thick, creamy and also filling like small meal.
    • Freeze and blend - I sometimes freeze the Nutella with milk mix overnight, and next day when I blend again it gives me very thick, almost ice-cream like shake.
    • Serve immediately - Milkshake taste best when it is fresh and chilled, if you keep it long outside it lose the taste and texture.

    Serving and Storage

Serve Nutella Milkshake chill in tall glass with straw or spoon. It goes well with cookie, fruits or even just alone as breakfast drink. You can store leftover in fridge for few hour but always stir good before serve as it may settle.
