    About Biscoff Spread

Biscoff Spread is a delicious, smooth and creamy spread made using biscoff biscuits, milk, condensed milk, cinnamon powder, salt and butter. The name 'Biscoff' actually comes from 'Biscuit' + 'Coffee' as people loved the combination of the biscuit with coffee when served in cafe.

Lotus Biscoff Cookies was invented around 1932. They were created by a Belgian baker named Jan Boone Sr. Jan Boone wanted to make a simple biscuit inspired by a traditional European spiced biscuit called Speculoos. These biscuits had a caramelised, slightly spiced flavor, which made them unique.

In the 1950s, the biscuits were packed individually and served in cafes with coffee which gained popularity. The idea of turning the biscuits into a spread came around in 2007. It was inspired by a Belgian TV competition where someone created a spreadable version of the biscuit. Lotus Bakeries then developed and commercialised it into this smooth, caramel-flavored spread which is now Biscoff Spread available in markets..
