    About Mosambi Juice

Mosambi Juice or Sweet Lime juice is rich in Vitamin C and can boost the immune system. It has antioxidants and nutrients that helps to detox the body.

Mosambi is a citrus fruit which has a tangy taste, also called as Sweet Lime. Sweet limes, also known as musambi or mousambi, are a citrus fruit native to South East Asia. They are generally green to yellow in color. It is less acidic in nature still maintaining the distinct citrus flavor of lime.

Though this fruit is a real treat on its own Sweet Lime Juice is a popular drink in many parts of the world. It is often served chilled and sweetened however you can serve it without sweetener too.

If you are looking for a refreshing and healthy drink then mosambi juice is just for you. this juice is one of the most commonly found drinks in India. Make sure to consume the juice fresh as it may turn bitter when exposed to air for a longer time.

    How to choose Mosambi

Choose ripe fresh fruit – the ripest juicy fruit will be heavy for their size and smoothly textured. Avoid fruits which are discolored or has dry outer skin. You can slightly scratch the outer skin and with you fingertips if it is ripe then you can smell it easily.

To check if the fruit is ripe scratch with your finger tips if the oil comes out slightly then the fruit is ripe.

    Mosambi Juice Ingredients

    • Mosambi – Choose ripe fresh sweet lime for best taste.
    • Sugar – Adding sugar is optional but sometimes the fruit is a bit sour so in that case you can add sugar. So always taste the juice before adding sugar as per your preference.
    • Salt – A pinch of salt is added to elevate the sweetness.

    Expert Tips

    • While using the mixer method make sure not to grind just pulse it few times to extract juice. IF you grind it for more time the juice may turn bitter.
    • Depending on the fruit taste you can choose to add sweetener or not.
    • Salt lifts the sweetness and also enhances the taste.
    • You can add a pinch of chat masala powder or roasted cumin powder for an extra punch.
    • You can replace regular salt with black salt.
    • Always consume the juice fresh.
    • Adding lemon juice is purely your preference.
    • There is no rule or exact measure for mixing, you can make it as per your taste preference.
    • You can substitute 1/4 cup of tang for orange juice.
    • You can even add soda to make a fizz.

    Serving & Storage

Serve and consume it fresh. Mosambi juice is meant to be consumed fresh so do not attempt to store.
