    roti pizza recipe

This roti or chapathi pizza is simple and quick to make, can be prepared in minutes with your preferred topping of your choice. This makes a great evening snack or also for breakfast or dinner for kids.

There are different methods to make pizza apart from the traditional yeast base. I make dosa pizza, paniyaram pizza etc. I usually make homemade pizza sauce for making pizza. But this time I was in a hurry and wanted a quick instant pizza sauce so tried it this way and it was soo good. This chapathi pizza can be made instantly with leftover chapathi or roti and kids will love it for sure. Anything with cheese can’t go wrong isnt’ it?! especially with kids.

    Variations

    • You can make pizza base crisp, thick or thin as per your liking. If you want a thick pizza base make the roti a bit thick. But we prefer thin base. If you like crisp base cook for few more mins even after cheese melts.
    • You can add any topping of your choice like carrot, onion, capsicum, paneer, corn, mushroom etc.
    • I added the vegetables raw as I sliced them thin. But if you prefer you can saute for few mins and then add it too.

    Roti Pizza – 2 Methods

    • Stove top: Take leftover chapathi, smear the sauce add cheese and vegetables of your choice. Cook in dosa tawa until cheese melts. Cut into wedges and serve hot!
    • Oven : Preheat oven at 180 deg C for 10 mins.Spread pizza sauce over leftover chapathi, add vegetables, sprinkle cheese then bake in preheated oven at 180 deg C for 10 mins or until cheese melts.

I prefer the stove top method for making chapathi pizza but its your preference.
