We always end up using leftover idlis in Idli Upma or Idli Podi Toast. Sometimes I make idlis in bulk to use the leftover for next days breakfast as its quick to put it together. I love any upma variety Bread Upma or even Wheat Rava Upma.

.Idli Upma is an ideal leftover recipe that is tasty and savoured by the entire family. It is a quick and easy to make from leftover idlis.I always wonder how leftover dishes are beautifully transformed into a delicious breakfast or snack.

Idli Upma is made by first crumbling idlis well then tempering with basic spices along with onion, hing, turmeric powder and tossing crumbled idlis into it, finally garnished with coriander leaves.

It is really interesting to see how a simple boring idli turns into this colorful upma…ahh guess I’ve started admiring food more only after I started photographing it.
