Carrot Dal Tadka Recipe (Gajar Dal) | No Onion No Garlic Recipes

Carrot Dal Tadka Recipe
I was browsing the cookbook by SK and this carrot dal caught my attention. I love dal recipes and this one was with no onion and garlic , sure a welcoming change to any dal recipe lover like me. It tasted in between sambar and dal according to me, nevertheless  a great combo with soft phulkas.Check out my dal tadka recipe posted earlier.

My Notes:

  • This is a no onion no garlic recipe, but if you prefer you can add onion and garlic along with carrot and tomato, saute it and then add it.
  • You can even add ghee while tempering.
  • The consistency should be semi thick like our dal tadka.
  • Adding raw jeera crushed gives a great flavour.
