This is another healthy poriyal that can be done in a jiffy but sure the cleaning part takes time :)

3.The greens will let out water so be careful in sprinkling water. Add a pinch of sugar to retain the green color while getting cooked.Once the greens become soft and gets cooked add coconut and switch off. Give a quick stir and transfer to serving bowl.

Keerai Poriyal Recipe
Ingredients:- Keerai - 1 small bunch
- Onion - 1 chopped finely
- Coconut(grated) - 2 to 3 tbsp
- Salt- to taste
Sugar - a pinch
To Temper :
- Oil - 1 tsp
- Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
- Urad Dhal - 1/2 tsp
- Green Chillies - 1

Method:
1.Clean the greens and remove the root part and wash the leaves well.Keep aside.Heat oil in a pan add mustard seeds, urad dhal - let it splutter. Then add green chillies, onion fry till slightly browned.
2.Then add the greens with required salt. Keep in medium flame and keep stirring until the greens reduce in volume , sprinkle little water.Keep closed and allow the greens to cook.

My Notes:

- Adding sugar retains the green color of the veggie while getting cooked.
- Raw coconut is of no cholestrol so I always add coconut and immediately switch it off. But if you are packing then saute the coconut for 2mins then switch off to avoid getting spoiled.
