    About Sukku Coffee

Sukku Coffee is a traditional Indian beverage made using dried ginger, coriander seeds, pepper, cardamom etc. ‘Sukku’ means dry ginger and ‘Coffee’ is a beverage so sukku coffee is a beverage made using Indian spices.

The spices are first dry roasted and made into a powder which can be stored and used. This powder is added to water boiled well and finally served with sweetener. The sweetener used is mostly palm jaggery or palm sugar candy.

The first time I tasted sukku coffee was in my yoga class. Years back when I joined yoga class they use to serve this sukku coffee almost daily after the class. The first time I had I felt it spicy but after few days I started loving it.

Thanks you for sharing recipe. I need to have it in office instead of having coffee and tea. As per the procedure everything seems to fine except heating for some time. Is that mandatory to heat the suku coffee for 2-3 mins? because it is not possible in office.
