    About Oats Soup

Oats Soup is wholesome and filling made with oats, vegetables, milk, spices and herbs. This soup made with pantry staples tastes so good and it is healthy too. Kids will love it too as it is so creamy and tasty.

I am sure this is a great alternate to the usual oats savoury porridge we have. Oats is such a healthy ingredient to kick start the day.

    Oats Soup Ingredients

    • Oats – I have used quick cooking oats which is best to use for this soup. If you have rolled oats, just pulse it to break then use it.
    • Milk – Use boiled fresh milk.
    • Vegetables – I have used onion and carrot. You can even use capsicum, mushroom etc.
    • Herbs – Garlic, oregano, pepper powder and coriander leaves are used.
    • Olive oil – Olive oil gives a great flavor to the soup.

    Expert Tips

    • The consistency should be slightly runny as it thickens with time.
    • Don’t skip oregano and pepper as they give great flavor and apt spiciness to the soup.
    • Make sure you fine chop the veggies only then it gets cooked faster and easier.
    • You can use any vegetable of your choice.
    • Also roasting oats makes it nonsticky.
    • Don’t make onion and carrot too mushy.

    Serving and Storage

Oats Soup can be served with bread or soup sticks. This soup keeps well in fridge for 1 days, reheat and serve it.

Looks delicious Sharmilee! But you have missed how much Olive Oil to be used and when the Salt to be added in the method, as you are using Milk in the recipe. Please add these two points. Thank you.
