    Mushroom Rice

Mushroom Rice can be served as a meal and needs no sidedish as it tastes great by iself. It is one of my family favourites that I am making often these days so thought to share the recipe here.

    About Mushroom Rice

Mushroom Rice is made by preparing a herbed mixture using butter, garlic, onion and herbs then finally tossing cooked rice in it. This rice can be made with white basmati rice or even brown basmati rice.

This Mushroom Rice Recipe is very quick and easy to put together just toss few ingredients and you are done. This is perfect to make for weekend lunch when you don’t want to spend much time in the kitchen with family around. I have used basic spices and herbs and have given variations for it too.

This rice is very flavourful not very spicy perfect to serve for kids who are fussy eaters. To make it more spicy you can add more amount of pepper powder. This is more like rice tossed in butter garlic mushroom.

    Mushroom Rice Ingredients

    • Rice – Basmati rice is best to use for this recipe however you can use regular rice too. If you are looking for a healthier option then you can use brown basmati rice.
    • Mushrooms – Button mushrooms are preferred for this recipe. Make sure it is fresh and tender.
    • Herbs & Spices – I have used basic herbs and spices like pepper powder, oregano, chilli flakes and mixed herbs.
    • Others – Lots of garlic is used here with little onion. Make sure to chop them finely.
