Fig Milkshake – Doesn’t it sound interesting?! I love figs for its crunchy texture so blending into this healthy milkshake is absolutely my favorite. There can be many variations to this milkshake : add dates or banana or even any nuts of your choice.

    About Fig Milkshake

Fig Milkshake is made by blending figs along with chilled milk, honey and ice cream. IT is one of the healthy and nutritious milkshakes. It can be served for breakfast as it is filling, you can add 1 small banana to make it wholesome.

I had some leftover figs after making my christmas fruit cake. I used half of them for granola bars and muesli too. I had few more left so thought to blend it up into this healthy fig milkshake.

    Fig Milkshake Ingredients

    • Figs – I have used dried figs soaked in milk before blending.
    • Milk – Use milk that is already boiled. Chill the milk for few minutes before blending.
    • Ice cream – I have used vanilla ice cream which is the best combination for this shake.
    • Honey – I have used honey for sweetener here.

    Serve it chilled!

    Expert Tips

    • You can skip sugar and add more honey if you prefer more sweetness.
    • Soaking figs in hot water makes them soft to blend easily with the milkshake.
    • You can add 1/4 cup banana for this shake to make it super healthy.

    Serving and Storage

Serve the milkshake fresh with a topping of whipped cream. I would not recommend storing the milkshake as it is best to consume fresh. However you can chill the shake for 1-2 hours if need be.
