Chocolate Lassi Recipe

Chocolate Lassi , the name itself tempted me a lot when I saw this in a menu card.From then I wanted to try it at home.I made this chocolate lassi last week and we all loved it, best for this summer.I loved the chocolate pieces coming here and there in the lassi, am sure kids will love it too.Do try this chocolate lassi and enjoy it !!

Chocolate Lassi Recipe

Chocolate Lassi Recipe – Ingredients

Preparation Time : 5 mins | Cooking Time : 15 mins | Serves : 2
Recipe Category: Beverage | Recipe Cuisine: Indian

Chilled Thick Curd(Yogurt) – 1 cup
Granulated Sugar -1.5 tbsp
Coco Powder – 1 heaped tsp
Chocolate Shavings – 1 tbsp
Drinking Chocolate powder -1 tsp
Chocolate vermicelli – for garnish

Method:

  1. Take curd in a mixing bowl.Add sugar.

  2. Whisk it well first,Set aside.Now take cooking chocolate shavings and coco powder in a bowl and cook in double boiling method.Make sure the bowl containing chocolate should not touch the surface of boiling water directly.I kept a small steel cup and placed the bowl over it.Check here for detailed method.Just mix till it becomes crumbly, you can cook till saucy consistency too, check my notes.

  3. Now add the coco-chocolate mixture,then drinking chocolate powder and blend it well.I used my blender, you can use whipper blade in your mixie too.

Serve chilled and frothy with a sprinkle of chocolate vermicelli/shavings.

Chocolate Lassi Recipe

My Notes:

  • You can melt the chocolate to a sauce and then add too, but I preferred choco bits here and there in my lassi so added a crumbly mixture to blend.
  • You can add a pinch of black salt too.
  • I used dark cooking chocolate so had to add more sugar.Adjust sugar quantity according to your preference.
  • You can even use hand whisk to blend it together.

    Nice good healthy recipe. Easy and attractive way to give curd to kids with their favorite chocolate taste. Your pictures are so wonderful and you took them so fast I feel. I can see a cute air bubble in first pic ( Just below the gap between to words Chocolate Lassi, a small and medium size semiya ) and the 2nd & 3rd I can see its cute dent alone, All the bubbles and the shot in aerial view really made very attractive and can see how much u r taking care in u r presentation such a attractive way. Well done Sharmi.
