About Thinai Ladoo
Thinai Ladoo also called Foxtail millet Ladoo, is a traditional sweet made using foxtail millet flour. The millet is first cleaned, roasted and then grind into fine flour. After that honey and ghee are added to bind flour and make small round ladoos. It is also a nice sweet to keep at home for hunger time.
This has soft but grainy texture from the millet flour. Also roasting the millet gives nice aroma and flavor. Honey adds mild sweetness while ghee gives richness and helps bind mixture together. It does not need much ingredients and ladoos come together easily once flour is ready.

I tried and felt a unique bitter taste. And the sweetness was less. Will it be like that. I used readymade thinai flour. Should I fry it?
Sharmilee J
May be depends on the flour, no there was no bitter taste in it.
