Sooji toast recipe with video and stepwise pictures.

This sooji toast is such a easy recipe made with bread,sooji and vegetables.I have already posted a savoury frecnh toast version similar to this long back but wanted to try this with vegetables added and finally did.These are a great variation to our regular toasts.Do try and enjoy!

Sooji toast recipe a crispy toast made with vegetables asnd rava

Ingredients

  • 5 to 6 nos bread slices
  • 1/2 cup fine sooji (rava- you can use upma rava)
  • 1/4 cup thick curd
  • 1 tbsp carrot grated
  • 2 tbsp onion finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp tomato finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp coriander leaves finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp capsicum finely chopped
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • butter / oil to toast
  • water as needed
  • salt to taste

Instructions

  • Get all your ingredients ready.All all ingredients to a mixing bowl(except water and bread).Mix well.
  • All water little by little to make a thickish batter.Should be spoonable as shown.
  • Spread a slightly thick layer on the bread slice.Make all the bread slices ready.Then heat dosa tawa spread butter.
  • Place the bread with sooji spread side faced down on the tawa.Press gently to cook.Cook for2-3mins.Spread butter on top.
  • Flip over to other side and cook until golden and crisp on both sides.Repeat to finish.

Notes

  • If your bread slices are small you will have this sooji batter for 6 sto 7 slices but if your bread is medium or big then you may get 5 toasts only.
  • I did not add green chillies as it may come in mouth while eating for the kids.But if you are making for elders you can add green chillies very finely chopped.
  • Make sure to chop everything fine so that it sticks easily.
  • I had color capsicum so used it up.
  • If your sooji is not fine pulse it in mixer few times.

  4. Place the bread with sooji spread side faced down on the tawa.Press gently to cook.Cook for 2-3mins.Spread butter on top. sooji toast recipe
  5. Flip over to other side and cook until golden and crisp on both sides.Repeat to finish.sooji toast recipe
  6. Serve hot!

      no need add it raw, but use only fine rava
