Semiya Kichadi is one of my favorites. I love rava kichadi so much but very rarely make.I order kichadi often in Hotel Annaporna as its perfect there or at least satisfies my taste buds.It is soft slighly mushy with a melt in the mouth texture, yum. If you get a chance to visit Coimbatore do try kichadi in Annapoorna then you will surely thank me.

The main difference between upma and kichadi is that upma is a bit dry and fluffy while kichadi is soft and slightly mushy, with vegetables and a masala flavour. This kichadi is called by different names like rava semiya bath or rava vermicelli kichadi etc.Do try this rava semiya kichadi and enjoy hot!

Turmeric powder is added to give the yellow color. Next time try adding it.
