Kids Lunch Box Menu 45 – Tamarind Rice, Puliyodharai, Carrot Kootu is a tangy & evergreen lunch box menu that is relished by kids & entire family alike. Carrot kootu makes the combo healthy and nourishing.
Puliyodharai and Carrot Kootu is todays lunchbox menu, to add on to kids fav I have included vadams too…..You can even pack a cup of curd with it.Amma always insists to add kootu to menu when there is puli sadam for lunch , as the rice is dry this kootu will compensate while eating together as a combo.I am planing to post a easy puli sadam recipe that amma makes, may be that will be helpful for lunchbox too.I am nearing the half century for the lunchbox series, yayy just 5 more menu to go and wind up this series as of now.

Notes
- You can make the spice mix powder for puliyodharai the previous day itself, even the tamarind paste does stay good. So if you are ready with the puliyodharai paste and spice powder then morning just make rice and mix it up.
- I usually fry peanuts and add it after mixing the rice to give a nice crunch while eating.
- You can adjust spice level according to your kids preference or more little more jaggery syrup as kids will love the tangy and sweet taste.
