    Ingredients

    • 1 cup peanuts
    • 1/4 cup fried gram dal
    • 2 big fat cloves garlic
    • 3 red chillies
    • 1/2 teaspoon oil
    • few curry leaves
    • salt / rock salt to taste

    Instructions

    • I had de-skinned peanuts so used it. Roast until golden spots appear here and there, set aside.
    • Now take fried gram dal. Roast until golden, set aside.
    • Heat 1/2 teaspoon of oil add garlic, curry leaves and red chillies fry for 2 mins. Cool down all the ingredients completely.
    • Transfer to mixer jar along with required salt. Grind it to a slightly coarse mixture.
    • Transfer to a plate spread it to cool down. Then you can store. While grinding first grind at a stretch then pulse so that peanuts do not leave oil.
    • Serve Peanut chutney Powder for idli, dosa or with hot rice and ghee.

    Notes

    • Do not run the mixer grinder at a stretch the nut would leave out oil and would start sticking so first grind for few seconds at a stretch then pulse and grind it.
    • If you have peanuts with skin roast, then remove the skin by rubbing between your palms, blow off the skin and then start using it.
    • Keeps well for 1 month.
