Jeera water is one of the most common solution for indigestion.Jeera waterhas numerous health benefits which is good got your hair, skin etc.Its obvious that Keralites drink jeera water replacing normal in their day to day life.

Jeera water is said to improve digestion and promote lactation during pregnancy.When jeera water is had in empty stomach in the morning it helps in weightloss.

Me and amma used to have some hot jeera water in the morning before our coffee.We use to change the routine on and off like for a month jeera water then ginger lemon water then plain hot water etc.First it used to be a bit difficult now it has become habitual 🙂

Ingredients

  • 2 cups water
  • 1 heaped tsp jeera

Instructions

  • Take water in a sauce pan, add jeera to it.
  • Boil until it reduces to half.
  • Switch off and strain.Discard the cumin seeds and consume the water.Drink it hot or warm.

Notes

  • You can even make jeera water and store for a day and consume it as and when needed.

        What ratio do you recommend for using cumin powder in hot water instead of the seeds?

          1/2 to 1 tsp for 1 cup water
