Bournvita Burfi is easy to make burfi using milk powder and bournvita.Bournvita burfi with step by step pictures and video.I had this bournvita burfi in mind since last year Diwali but somehow it kept missing to be tried so this year while planning sweets for Diwali remembered this burfi.

This burfi is very easy to make, needs no consistency checks like other sweets / barfis but tastes so delicious. This is a soft moist melt in the mouth type of barfi that kids will surely enjoy. The flavour of bourvita in burfi is so good, do try it for this Diwali 2020 and enjoy.

As its very quick and easy to make, you can even make it at the last minute too.It needs just 15-20 mins if your time if you have the ingredients in hand.I modified my milk powder burfi recipe a bit and tried this bournvita burfi. it came out as I had expected.I was in a  dilemma whether to try hard burfi using sugar string consistency or this but finally chose this as I had an instinct that this would be easy for begineers and also milk powder + bournvita combo would go very well. And yes my guess is right!

    Shelf life:

This burfi stays good in room temperature for 2 days and in fridge for about a week.

    Notes

    • Make sure to cook until a thick mass else you will not be able to cut.It will be goey and will not set properly.
    • This burfi is meant to be soft so do not overcook,it may become brittle.
    • Adding nuts is optional and its purely your preference.
    • Add a tbsp extra bournvita if you want a more strong flavour.
    • You can replace bournvita with boost too.
    • I used nestle everyday milk powder which was slightly coarse.
    • Use heavy bottomed pan for easy cooking.I used my ceramic coated pan which I bought recenly.
    • Make sure to dissolve bournvita in hot water completely else the tiny balls will settle in burfi.

Interesting recipe and seems simple. How much sugar should we add?
