Atta Ladoo is a healthy and easy ladoo recipe that I tried few weeks back… This super surprised me as I didnt expect the taste to be this good.I loved it so much so did Mittu….The texture and flavour is amazing….Its healthier especially for kids…So what are you waiting for? make this homemade healthy sweet for your kids for this Diwali!I referred the method in SK’s website and I used my own measures from what I have learnt from making 3 types of ladoos(besan , moong dal and maa ladoo) this year.

    Ingredients

    • 1 cup wheat flour
    • 1/2 cup sugar
    • 1/3 cup melted ghee
    • 8 nos cashews
    • 12 nos almonds
    • 10 nos pistachios
    • 1/2 tsp cardamom powder

    Instructions

    • Seive wheat flour with finer seive.
    • Then dry roast wheat flour well till color changes. Keep stirring continuosly to avoid burning at the bottom.
    • Take sugar in a dry mixer. Grind sugar to a fine powder, set aside.
    • Then grind the nuts to a coarse mixture. Set aside.
    • In a mixing bowl, take wheat flour, powdered sugar and cardamom powder. Whisk it well.
    • Heat ghee for a minute and then add it slowly.
    • Mix well with the ladle. When its earm enough to handle with hands shape them into ladoos
    • Cool down store in an airtight container and enjoy your guilt-free Atta ladoos!

    Notes

    • I used homemade atta which is already sieved and stored. If using store bought flour, if you prefer you can sieve flour and powdered sugar together.
    • You can even add chopped nuts instead of powdering. I powdered it just for mittus sake, as she is not comfortable biting the nuts in between.
    • Cardamom flavour is best in this recipe so don't skip it.
    • Keeps well in room temperature for more than a weeks time.
    • Always add ghee little by little mix it, then add again to avoid lumps. Adding ghee little by little also helps us to keep control of ghee...If you are able to shape them with little less ghee itself then that's fine too.
    • You can also add chopped raisins along with powdered nuts.

Hey, I made these laddos. They turned out yum and were gone in a day. Great recipe. Can we make Besan laddos in the same method? Thanks.

      Hi Sharmi I have a doubt…
Instead of steaming the flour can it be roasted just like roasting the besan flour for making besan ladoo

Very healthy, looks yummy too. Can we use jaggery instead of sugar, if so, is it the same procedure as above.
      Thanks Sharmi !

You can try but am not sure of the outcome….becos if we add powdered jaggery as such make sure the jaggery is clean…else you can try with jaggery syrup(after filtering)
