About Orange Popsicle
Orange Popsicle is a simple two layer ice made using curd and orange juice. First we freeze the curd layer then add orange juice on top. So when you eat, you get creamy taste in the beginning and juicy in the end. It looks nice and tastes good too. No special molds or tools needed for this.
I used thick curd so that the base comes thick and smooth. Also added little orange zest for nice flavor. For the top part I used fresh orange juice and added sugar to it. You can change the sugar level based on how sour or sweet your fruit is. Even curd sometimes taste more sour so adjust and mix well.
You can try this same idea with other fruits also. Like sweet lime, pomegranate or even mango. You can also use flavored yogurt instead of plain curd. But this orange and curd combo is very fresh and summer friendly. It tastes light and not heavy. You can even half freeze the first layer and create marbled effect.
I made this on a hot afternoon. We just wanted something cold and had some oranges and curd in the fridge. I just mixed it up and kept in freezer. My kids loved it. I always wanted to try layered popsicles, googled around and when I saw all those rainbow layers I was so fascinated but knew it was really tough for me to wait and set 4-5 layers for a popsicle so first thought to give a try with 2 layers first and orange, yogurt was my choice.
