    • Oranges - Used fresh oranges for this recipe which gives natural juice and flavour. You can use sweet or slightly tangy ones.

    • Ice cubes - Ice cubes are added to make the drink chilled and refreshing, you can also skip if you don't prefer.

    1.Take your oranges, cut it open remove the seeds then squeeze to extract juice

    4.Add water and mix it well. Serve chilled

    Expert Tips

    • Choosing oranges - I use fresh juicy oranges for best taste and you can avoid very sour ones for better result.
    • Sweetness - I add the nannari syrup after tasting and you can increase if you like more sweet taste.
    • Mixing - I mix the orange juice and syrup before adding water and it helps it combine evenly in the drink.
    • Serving - I add ice cubes before serving and it taste better when cold and you can also use chilled water.
    • Extra flavour - I sometimes add little lemon juice and it give more tangy taste and it makes the drink more refreshing.

    Serving and Storage

    Serve Orange Sarbath chilled immediately after preparing. This goes well as a refreshing drink during hot days or for guests. It is best consumed fresh and not stored for long. If needed you can keep in fridge for short time.

    1.Can I skip nannari syrup?

    Yes you can skip it but flavour will change. You can add sugar instead.

    2.Can I use packaged juice?

    Yes you can use packaged juice. Fresh juice gives better taste.

    3.Can I add basil seeds?

    Yes you can add soaked basil seeds. It gives extra texture.

    4.Why drink tastes bitter?

    It may be due to seeds or skin. Remove seeds properly.

    5.Can I make in advance?

    It is better to make fresh and serve. Keeping long may change taste.

    Ingredients

    • 2 small oranges
    • 2 tablespoon nannari sarbath
    • 3 cups water
    • few ice cubes

    Instructions

    • Take 2 small oranges, cut it remove the seeds then squeeze it.
    • Add nannari sarbath.
    • Mix well. Now add ice cubes.
    • Add water and mix it well. Serve Orange Sarbath chilled.

    Notes

    • Adjust water according to your taste.
    • I used just 2 tablespoon sarbath which was perfect for us but if you like more sweeter and concentrated then add 3 tablespoon sarbath syrup.
