    Vella Paniyaram

    Vella Paniyaram is a heavenly tasty breakfast made by frying rice & urad batter dollops. Vella Paniyaram with chutney is an ultimate combo that is a must try at home & to relished again & again for special occasions.     Ingredients

    • 1 cup raw rice levelled
    • 2 tbsp urad dal heaped on raw rice
    • 1/2 tsp sugar
    • salt to taste
    • water as needed

    Instructions

    • In 1 cup measure take raw rice level it well on top, now add urad dal till heap this is the measure. Take in a bowl soak for 2 hrs then rinse well and drain. Add it to mixer.
    • Add water little by little and grind to a fine paste. Transfer to a bowl.
    • Add salt, sugar and water if needed to bring it to dosa batter consistency. Heat oil in a kadai, using a deep curved ladle pour a ladle ful.
    • Let it raise and puff up.
    • Flip over and cook ,then drain and serve.
    • Serve Vella Paniyaram hot with milagai chtuney!

    • I used mixer for grinding as its a small amount but sure the batter grinded in grinder yields better results.

    How to make Vella Paniyaram
