    Chia Pudding is a healthy, yummy and perfect breakfast that can be prepared. Chia Pudding is a yummy dessert made by mixing chia seeds with milk, honey and vanilla essence. Chia Pudding can be topped with fresh fruits or nuts or dry fruits and makes a filling breakfast.

    Chia Pudding is a great option when you are looking for a filling breakfast.This pudding is quick to make and tastes delicious.This is a creamy pudding, the topping option is purely your choice.

    About Chia Pudding

    Chia Pudding is a delicious and healthy dessert made by mixing chia seeds with milk, honey and vanilla essence and letting it set in the fridge for few hours – tada your Chia Pudding is ready!

    Chia Pudding is made by soaking chia seeds in any liquid like juice, water or milk which includes nut milk or oats milk or dairy milk or even soya milk. Just mix well without any lumps and refrigerate it and your chia pudding will be ready in few hours.

    Chia Pudding is a no cook, healthy cool dessert that could be made in minutes and could be relished for breakfast or as a snack. This pudding can be made and set overnight and your breakfast will be ready waiting for you in the morning.

    Chia Pudding is a treat for the family after lunch meal and during summer holidays. This Pudding can be made with just 3 main ingredients and it takes just 5 minutes to mix it only the setting takes time.

    There are numerous options for this pudding. Surprise your family with this healthy treat as breakfast or dessert. This Pudding is my go to favorite breakfast for those busy mornings.

    Chia Pudding Variations

    There are endless variations for the basic chia pudding. Here I have shared just 2:

    • Mango Chia Pudding – Mix 1/4 cup chia seeds with 1 cup milk along with 2 tablespoon honey. Add little chopped mangoes at the bottom the glass then add prepared chia pudding and alternate it like this. Add more chopped mangoes as topping and set it fridge. Serve chilled!
    • Chocolate Chia Pudding – Mix 1/4 cup chia seeds with 1 cup milk along with 2 tablespoon cocoa powder and 2 tablespoon sugar. Refrigerate it for minimum 2 hours then garnish with choco chips or chocolate shavings. You can even top it up with fresh fruits and serve chilled.

    Chia Pudding Ingredients

    • Chia Seeds – Use black chia seeds. It is readily available in the market or you can check out online.
    • Milk – I have used dairy milk. But you can substitute it with almond milk or cashew milk or oats milk or even soya milk etc.
    • Honey – I have used honey as sweetener. You can use regular sugar too either white sugar or brown sugar or cane sugar etc.
    • Flavoring – I have used pure vanilla extract. You can even flavor your chia pudding with cardamom powder, cocoa powder, cinnamon powder and there are endless options.
    • Topping – You can add any fruits of your choice or nuts along with dryfruits.

    Chia Pudding Recipe Step by Step

    1.Take 1 cup milk in a bowl. Make sure it is boiled milk and slightly warm is ok or milk in room temperature is also ok.

    2.Add 1/4 cup chia seeds to it.

    3.Add 1 tablespoon honey to it.

    4.Add 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract to it.

    5.Start mixing it.

    6.Mix it well. Scrap the sides and mix well. Set aside for 15 minutes.

    7.Now again give a quick mix to break the lumps if any. Now cover and refrigerate it for 2 hours minimum or overnight.

    8.This is after 3 hours. The pudding is thick jelly like and spoonable.

    9.Spoon the pudding into dessert bowls.

    19.Top it up with fresh fruits and dry fruits of your choice.

    Mango Chia Pudding

    1. To a mixing bowl add 1/4 cup chia seeds.

    2. Add 1 cup milk(already boiled) and 2 tablespoon honey to it.

    3. Add 1/4 teaspoon vanilla essence. Mix well.

    4. Chop the mangoes reserve little and set aside for garnishing. Meanwhile chill the milk and let the chia seeds bloom. Set aside atleast for 2 hours. You can soak in milk overnight also.Now it has become thick.

    5. Take your serving glasses, add 2 tablespoon of chopped mangoes in each glass.

    6. Add the chia milk mixture till 3/4th of the glass. Finally garnish with remaining chopped mangoes.

    Serve chilled!

    Chocolate Chia Pudding

    1. Add 1/4 cup chia seeds and 2 tablespoon sugar. I used coconut sugar here. Add 2 tablespoon coco powder.

    2. Add 1/4 teaspoon vanilla essence to it. Whisk it well.

    3. Now add 1 cup milk(boiled already). Whisk well to break the lumps.

    4. Set aside for 15 mins. Mix it well to break the lumps then refrigerate for minimum 2 hours or overnight. Once the seeds are nicely bloomed the pudding is ready to serve. Garnish with choco chips while serving.

    Serve chilled.

    Expert Tips

    • The consistency is up to you. It can be a little gooey or very thick. We like ours a bit gooey.
    • You can add a pinch of cinnamon powder too.
    • You can use almond milk too. I used regular milk.
    • You can even add coconut milk replacing regular milk.
    • You can replace honey with maple syrup too.
    • You can add any sweetener of your choice. You can add hite sugar or cane sugar or brown sugar or even jaggery syrup or dates syrup too.

    Serving & Storage Suggestion

    Chia Pudding can be served with fresh fruits, nuts and dry fruits.

    This pudding keeps well in room temperature for 1 day and 2-3 days in fridge.

    Chia Pudding keeps well in room temperature for 1 day and 2-3 days in fridge. You can freeze it for up to a month but I do not recommend it.

    2.How chia seeds help in weight loss?

    Chia seeds are very rich in fibre, which adds great nutrition to your food. It reduces food cravings which helps in losing and managing weight.

    3.Is it good to eat chia pudding daily?

    Chia seeds are highly nutritious and has a long list of health benefits and can be a healthy diet option. However, eating too much may cause side effects so it is better to eat it twice or thrice a week at the maximum.

    Ingredients

    Classic Chia Pudding

    • 1/4 cup chia seeds
    • 1 cup milk boiled and cooled
    • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • 1 tablespoon honey add more if you like it more sweet

    Mango Chia Pudding

    • 1/4 cup chia seeds
    • 1 cup milk
    • 2 tablespoon honey
    • 1 small mango chopped

    Chocolate Chia Pudding

    • 1/4 cup chia seeds
    • 1 cup milk
    • 2 tablespoon coco powder
    • 2 tablespoon sugar
    • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla essence

    Instructions
