Mango Smoothie is a yummy, heart filling drink made by blending mango pulp, milk, curd and nuts. This is a treat in scorching heat and could be made at home in minutes. Mango Smoothie Recipe presented here is with coconut milk & is explained step by step with pictures.

    Mango Smoothie Recipe

Mango Smoothie is a healthy and creamy drink that you can have for breakfast. It is so filling that you will not feel hungry until lunchtime that mid morning snack can be skipped.

    About Mango Smoothie

Mango Smoothie can be prepared in different ways using varied ingredients as per your liking. I can say there is no recipe easier than this especially for breakfast.

Usually Mittu hesitates to try any new recipes so I said its mango drink and gave her. She asked the ingredients that went into the making and I said it was just milk, mango and sugar. If I say honey and nuts she wouldn’t taste it at all. She happily drank it and said it was yummy.

After few days when I was editing the pics, she saw the steps and asked there are so many other ingredients shown here and you said it was only mango milk and sugar?! I never expected this and I was not ready with any answer, then I said it was before I made a separate milkshake just for you and then added the other ingredients to make this smoothie…ah what a relief.

    What is a Smoothie?

Smoothies are usually a thick creamy blend of fruits, yogurt, milk, nuts, seeds or dry fruits or even vegtables.

Mango Smoothie Recipe – 2 ways

    • Classic Mango Smoothie : This is a simple Mango Smoothie Recipe with just a blend of fresh juicy mangoes with milk, yogurt, honey and almonds.
    • Banana Mango Smoothie : This is a variation with banana. Banana Mango Smoothie is an excellent combo along with milk and sugar.

    Ingredients

    • Mangoes – Alphonso is the recommended variety for tasty, thicky & colourful drinks be it smoothie or lassi or any beverage. However you can use other mangoes like Banganapalli or Neelam or Senthuram variety.
    • Milk – Use any fresh milk boiled & cooled. I used cows milk.
    • Yogurt – Use thick curd, you can use homemade fresh curd too. Make sure it is not sour.
    • Honey – I have used honey for this recipe. You can try with regular white sugar, condensed milk, brown sugar & cane sugar – although they significantly impact the taste of the drink.
