    Cup and Spoon Measurements

This is the measurement used in all the recipes posted here, unless otherwise mentioned in the post

    Cup and Spoon Measurements

    Cup Measures:

    1 cup = 250 ml
    1/2 cup = 125 ml
    1/3 cup = 80 ml
    1/4 cup = 60 ml

    Spoon Measures:

    1 tablespoon = 15 ml
    1/2 tablespoon = 7.5 ml
    1 teaspoon = 5 ml
    1/2 teaspoon = 2.5 ml

For other measures like 3/4 cup – I take 1 cup minus 1/4 cup and for 1/8 cup I measure half of 1/4 cup etc

This is the set of measuring cups and spoons that I am using for all of the recipes posted here. I have been using these cups for the past 3 yrs, spoons alone I have changed twice as I lost few.The spoons shown in the pic above is a new one that I bought recently…Both the cups and spoons are from a brand named ‘AllTime’ and they are quite sturdy. I also have a set of steel measuring cups which Lavi gifted me, I use now and then, and that measures the same quantity as my plastic ones too.

    Cup and Spoon Measurements

I bought this below set of steel measuring cups and spoons from flipkart so updated them, they are also of same measures as my plastic ones.

I got the pink measuring cups from Nilgiris but now its not available only the red ones are there. But I saw both the cups and spoons at Kamala Stores, Auchan Supermarket Coimbatore. I am sure you can easily find them at other cities too…check out at any nearest supermarkets.

Each ingredient weighs differently so its not possible to exactly convert cup measures in gm measures depends on each recipe and ingredient…Please check the baking posts, for some have updated gm measures
