Murungai keerai oothappam, I learnt this recipe from my SIL.This is actually not a recipe just a great idea to include drumstick leaves for kids without cooking it much so the nutrients are not lost.Murungi keerai or drumstick leaves has a lot of medicinal benefits, rich in iron and protein, very good for your eyes too.
Last time when I went to chennai I saw my SIL making this for her kids and I was doubtful how it will taste as we are adding the leaves raw.But to my surprise both mittu and gugu had it without complaints when it was served for them too.
Drumstick leaves cooks easily especially when the leaves are tender and fresh. So when I got these tender leaves at once made and clicked it.The flavour of ghee with drumstick leaves on the oothapam is so good that even who is not fond of greens will love it for sure just like me 🙂
