To a mixing bowl add 1 cup maida, 2 tablespoon powdered sugar, 1 tablespoon melted ghee, a pinch of salt.
Mix this well first then add water little by little.
Start kneading.
Knead to a soft non sticky dough like this.
Keep it covered for 10 – 15 minutes.
After 10 minutes knead it once again.
Roll into lemon sized balls and flatten it slightly.
Dust flour place a ball and roll into slightly thin disc like chapathi. It should be slightly thin like this.
First cut vertically using the diamond cutter or pizza cutter. Now cut horizontally to get diamonds like this.
Separate them. Do not worry if it sticks, when we fry in oil it gets separated easily.
Heat oil – check by adding a small piece, it it comes up immediately then oil is ready.
Add few at a time. Once it rises up flip over to fry evenly.
Fry until golden color and bubbles stops.
Drain excess oil and remove using a ladle.
Repeat to finish. Add ¼ cup powdered sugar.
Toss it well until evenly coated.
Store in airtight container and enjoy!
