Chocolate Milkshake Recipe (Chocolate Shake)

Ingredients

  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 and ½ cups milk frozen
  • 3 tablespoon cocoa powder
  • 4 tablespoon sugar
  • ¼ cup hot water
  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla essence

Instructions

Melting dark chocolate

  • Double boiling method : To a sauce add water and heat it, place a bowl over it with 3 tablespoon dark chocolate.
  • Keep stirring until the chocolate completely melts.

Preparing serving glass

  • Drizzle it over the sides of the serving glass using a spoon.
  • Chill the glass for few minutes until the chocolate is set.

Preparing chocolate syrup

  • To a bowl add 3 tablespoon cocoa powder, 4 tablespoon sugar and ¼ cup hot water.
  • Mix it well to a thick syrup like this, set it aside. Chocolate syrup is ready.

Preparing chocolate milkshake

  • To a mixer jar add ½ cup chilled milk, 1 and ½ cups milk frozen, ¼ teaspoon vanilla essence, prepared chocolate syrup.
  • Blend until smooth and creamy.
  • Thick, frothy and creamy chocolate milkshake is ready!
  • Now take the serving glass from fridge and pour the chocolate milkshake into it.
  • Pour leaving some space on top.

Topping the milkshake

  • Top it with piped whipped cream.
  • Garnish with grated dark chocolate. Insert straw and a small bar of chocolate on hte side.
  • Serve chocolate milkshake and enjoy!

Notes

  • Milk - Boil milk, let it cool down then measure 1 and ½ cups milk and freeze it at least for 6 hours or until firm. Always use full cream milk for best results.
  • Cocoa powder - I love when the chocolate flavor is strong and intense so I used 3 tablespoon cocoa powder if you like it mild then reduce it to 2 tbsp. Use good quality cocoa powder.
  • Ice cream - Instead of frozen milk you can use 1 cup milk and 3 big scoops chocolate ice cream with 1.5 tablespoon of prepared chocolate sauce.If you are using vanilla ice cream then use 3 tablespoon of chocolate syrup.
  • Whipped cream - I used frozen whipping cream, whipped it until soft peaks and kept it ready for topping. Vegan - For vegan version replace milk with soya milk or nut milk either almond or cashew milk. Make sure to use chilled milk.
  • Variations - You can add ½ teaspoon coffee powder to enhance the chocolate flavor and give a mild coffee flavor to the shake. You can even add 2-3 ice cubes to make it frothy and more chilled. Do not add more as it might make the shake watery.
