Bow Tie Pasta

Bow Tie Pasta is a saucy, delicious dish made by blending cooked pasta with tomato, onion, capsicum & spice based saucy mix. Bow Tie Pasta can be relished wholesome for dinner or as an evening meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup bow tie pasta
  • 1 small carrot chopped finely
  • 1/2 small capsicum chopped finely
  • 1 no big onion chopped finely
  • 1 tablespoon pasta sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper freshly crushed
  • 1/4 teaspoon mixed herbs
  • 3/4 to 1 cup water
  • salt to taste

To temper:

  • 1/2 teaspoon jeera
  • 2 teaspoon crushed garlic
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Instructions

  • Cook pasta along with water and salt until soft. Drain water and keep aside. For more detailed instruction for cooking pasta check here.
  • Heat oil + butter, add jeera let it crackle. Add crushed garlic saute for 2 mins.
  • Add onion saute till transparent. Then add carrot and capsicum for few mins.
  • Then add pasta sauce mix well. Add water and let the veggies cook for  few mins.
  • Cook covered until the veggies are slightly soft yet crunchy enough to bite. Then add crushed pepper, mixed herbs and salt. We have already used salt for cooking pasta so add salt accordingly.
  • Mix well. Add the pasta and toss well. Serve Bow Tie Pasta hot!
