Makhana Chivda is a rich, mild savoury made by pan roasting makhana, cashews, peanuts along with spices. Makhana Chivda is a healthy, simple and quick to make for evening snack time and for sudden visitors to home.
Heat ghee in a pan - add makhana roast until crisp. If you break and see it should be crisp that is the correct stage. Transfer to plate and set aside.
Heat oil in the same pan - add fried gram dal and peanuts roast until golden then add cashews. Roast until golden brown.
Then add curry leaves along with spice powders and salt. Give a quick mix and switch off.
Add roasted makhana toss it well.
Cool down Makhana Chivda for a while, then store or serve immediately.
Notes
You can even add other nuts like almonds too.
Increase spice level as per taste.
