    Instant Pot Quinoa – perfectly cooked quinoa and cooking time is just 1 min.

    Instant Pot Quinoa – fluffy cooked quinoa in just 1 min.Instant pot is one of the best ways to cook quinoa or any other millet.You can use quinoa for many recipes and I have posted a collection of quinoa recipes too.

    Recently tried cooking quinoa in IP and it was so easy adn messfree so no more open pot method which needs supervision every now and then.I make quinoa or millet alternatively so this time when I wanted to cook quinoa tried it in Instant pot and it was so much time consuming.

    Instant Pot Quinoa Recipe

    Instant pot quinoa recipe - fluffy cooked quinoa in just 1 minute.

    Ingredients

    • 1 cup quinoa
    • 1 and 1/2 cups water

    Instructions

    • Measure quinoa and set aside.
    • Rinse it well, drain water.
    • Add it to instant pot.
    • Add 1 .5 cups water to it.The ratio is 1(quinoa):1.5(water).
    • Now close with lid.
    • Inititally the steel button is down.
    • Set pressure cook in high mode for 1 minute.
    • It takes around 10 mins to on.
    • Inititally the steel knob is down and when it starts to cook it automatically goes up as shown.When the knob is up it means cooking is in process/started and when its down pressure is released and you are ready to open the lid.Do not open the lid when the knob is up.
    • Instant pot has finished timer.
    • Let pressure release by itself.It took me 20 mins to release.
    • Open and check.
    • Fluff it up with a fork.The sprout like tails should come out after getting cooked.
    • Cooked quinoa is ready for recipes.

    How to cook Quinoa in Instant Pot:

        Yes 1 min is enough. I wash and only add as mentioned here.
