Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 teaspoon sugar
  • 10 strands saffron ~a tiny pinch

Instructions

  • After milk is boiled add sugar, then saffron.
  • Let it simmer for a good 5mins, mix well and serve with a sprinkle of few strands of saffron. Enjoy Saffron Milk!

Notes

  • Boiling – I boil the milk first before adding saffron, it helps the flavour mix properly. This also makes the milk slightly rich when it simmers.
  • Saffron – I add the strands only after the milk boils for full colour and aroma. It gives better colour and flavour to the milk.
  • Simmering – I let the milk simmer for few minutes so flavour comes well. Do not skip this step.
  • Sweetness – I adjust sugar based after tasting the milk. Add little first then increase if needed.
  • Serving – You can serve it hot for comfort or chill it for refreshing drink according top your preference.
