Mushroom pasta bowl recipe with stepwise pictures.

  • 1 and 1/2 cups fusilli pasta
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 cup mushroom
  • 1/2 cup onions(roughly chopped)
  • 1/2 cup capsicum(roughly chopped)
  • 1/2 tsp oregano
  • 1/2 tsp chilli flakes
  • 1/2 cup grated cheese
  • salt to taste

For the tomato sauce:


  • Take water in a sauce pan, add salt and oil to it.Boil it.When it starts to boil, add the pasta and cook in medium flame.Stir in between.Keep cooking and make sure you stir in between.Cook until it becomes soft but not mushy. It should have the crunch to bite at the same time it will slightly bend,thats the right stage.Switch off and drain water.
  • Heat butter, add mushrooms saute for 2 mins.Remove and set aside.
  • Add crushed garlic, onion and saute till onions turn transparent.Then add capsicum.
  • Saute for 5mins then add oregano, chilli flakes give a quick mix, and remove it from the pan.Now add raw tomato puree.
  • Add red chilli powder,garam masala powder and required salt.Saute till raw smell of tomatoes leave.Now all the items are ready , its assembling time.
  • Take 2 oven safe bowls or you can use your casserole too.Add cooked pasta,onion capsicum mixture.
  • Spread tomato sauce, then mushrooms and sprinkle some cheese.Preheat oven at 180 deg C for 10 mins.
  • Repeat the same until you reach the rim of the bowl.Bake in preheated oven for 10 mins.
  • Serve hot with a sprinkle of chilli flakes!


  • I used cube cheese so it didn't spread wellm you can use mozarella cheese for better goey cheesy results. :)
  • You can use any pasta variety you have.
  • You can add vegetables along with mushrooms too.
