Kara Pori | Masala Pori

Kara Pori is a spicy, crispy snack made by dry roasting puffed rice, peanuts, garlic with spice powders. Murmura is a anytime filling snack that can be made in minutes. Kara Pori Recipe is explained in this post with step by step pictures and video.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups puffed rice / pori
  • 1/4 cup peanuts
  • 3 tablespoon fried gram
  • 15 curry leaves
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
  • a generous pinch hing
  • 4 nos garlic pods
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • salt as per taste

Instructions

  • In a wide bottomed pan, heat oil – Add garlic fry for a minute then add curry leaves, add fried gram dal.
  • Then add peanuts, fry until golden.
  • Then add red chilli powder, turmeric powder salt and hing. Mix well.
  • Now add pori and toss it until its coated well.
  • Allow it to cool and store in an airtight container.
  • Crunchy guilt free snack - Murmura ready in minutes!

Notes

  • Fry it in low flame or medium else it will get burnt.
  • Mix well or toss it for even coating of spices.
  • The measures are purely your choice, if you like peanuts more then add it more. Feel free to plus or minus the ingredients of your choice.
