Ingredients

To temper:

  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 2 small red chillies
  • a sprig curry leaves
  • a pinch hing

Instructions

  • Heat oil in a kadai - add the items listed under 'to temper' let it splutter then add all peanuts, fried gram dal and coconut.
  • Fry until golden. Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder and salt to taste. Give a quick mix. Add puffed rice to it.
  • Toss well and switch off. Enjoy Murmura Namkeen!

Notes

  • Once the spice powders are added do not overcook it will burn the spices, give a quick saute and add puffed rice.
  • Add garlic if you like the flavour.
  • Feel free to plus or minus ingredients as per your preference.
