First take a slice of pumpkin. It is around 500 grams pumpkin.
Remove the seeds part, you can wash the pumpkin seeds roast and enjoy it. Then remove the skin from the pumpkin.
Chop into medium sized cubes. Rinse it well and pat dry it.
Oven Method : Preheat oven at 180 DEG C for 10 minutes. Place a parchment paper on a baking tray and arrange the pieces.
Bake in preheated oven at 180 DEG C for 30-35 minutes or until it is soft when a fork is inserted. Cool down completely.
Add it to a blender.
Blend it to a fine puree. Do not add water while blending.
Steaming Method : Boil water in a sauce pan.
Now arrange the pumpkin cubes in a steamer basket.
Place the steamer basket inside the sauce pan once the water starts to boil.
Cook for 10-12 minutes or until it becomes soft.
Check by inserting a fork to check, if it is soft then switch off.
Remove the steamer basket from the sauce pan and let it cool down.
Transfer to a mixer jar.
Blend it to a fine or coarse puree according to your preference. You can even mash it a masher if you like chunky pieces. Do not add water while blending.
Pumpkin puree is ready!
