Mango Slush Recipe

Mango Slush is a delicious dessert made by blending mango pulp with ice cubes and served in glass garnished with sugar. It has grainy icy texture that feels very refreshing in hot weather. Every sip feels smooth, sweet and cooling at the same time. The ice bits give that nice slushy feel which makes it fun to drink.

Ingredients

  • 1 small mango ~1 cup chopped
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • ½ tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 cups ice cubes

Instructions

  • Rinse the mango well. Peel the skin from mango.
  • Chop the mangoes roughly. Add sugar to it.
  • Add lemon juice to it and then ice cubes.
  • Blend it in high speed for few seconds. Crushed ice cubes will be found here and there this is the perfect stage stop blending and set aside.
  • Spread sugar on a plate. Slightly wet the rim of the serving glass with water then swirl the rim of the glass on the sugar.
  • Serve & Enjoy Mango Slush chilled!

Notes

  • Mangoes – I usually use ripe sweet mangoes for best taste, If the mangoes are sour add little more sugar.
  • Ice Texture – I blend only for few seconds so the ice stays slightly chunky for proper slush feel.
  • Sweetness – I just taste mango before adding sugar as some mangoes are already very sweet so adjust quantity accordingly.
  • Blending Time – You can stop blending once ice looks partially crushed. Over blending makes it watery and less slushy.
  • Serving Glass – I just use chilled glass for serving, it keeps the slush colder for longer time.
  • Lemon – I prefer to add lemon little by little because too much can make taste sharp.
