Ingredients

  • 1 and ½ cups milk
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1 and ½ teaspoon palm sugar candy

Instructions

  • Peel the skin from garlic. The garlic cloves I used were big so used 4. If you have small variety then use 8.
  • Cut them into small pieces and set it aside.
  • Boil 1 and ½ cups milk.
  • Add the garlic pieces.
  • Simmer for 7-10 minutes.
  • This is after 10 minutes of simmering.
  • Cook until garlic becomes soft.
  • Add 1 and ½ teaspoon palm sugar candy or any sweetener of your choice. You can add regular white sugar or cane sugar etc.
  • Mix it well and simmer until it dissolves completely and switch off.
  • Garlic milk is ready. Pour into serving glass and serve!

Notes

  • You can slice garlic and add , or chop into small pieces and add. Or you can crush garlic using a garlic press and use it.
  • You can even strain the milk and drink it but it is beneficial to eat the cooked garlic pieces too so I do not recommend straining.
  • For kids may be you can strain and feed. Else mash the garlic with milk and feed it.
  • You can have garlic milk in any time of the day.
  • For lactating mother you can give this garlic milk for 3-4 days in a week.
  • Adjust sweetener according to your taste and preference.
  • You can replace palm sugar candy with cane sugar or palm sugar or even white sugar.
