  • 1 teaspoon corn flour
  • 2 teaspoon coco powder
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 ½ tablespoon dark choco chips
  • cup unsweetened khoya

Instructions

  • Take milk in a sauce pan, boil it then simmer for 5 mins.
  • To a bowl add coco powder and corn flour. Add sugar and milk.
  • Mix well with a spoon without any lumps. Now add it to the boiled milk..
  • Add unsweetened khoya and choco chips.
  • Cook until the mixture turns creamy and coats the ladle. Cool down completely then pour into kulfi molds.
  • Wrap and cover with foil, freeze it.
  • After 2 hours insert ice cream stick and freeze overnight or at least 6 to 8 hours.
  • Then while serving time, show the mould under running tap water or dip it in a bowl containing water. Carefully pull out the kulfis.
  • Serve & Enjoy Chocolate Kulfi immediately.

Notes

  • Cooking milk – I usually simmer milk for few minutes before adding mixture. This helps to get better thickness.
  • Mixing without lumps – I mix corn flour and cocoa well before adding. It should not have lumps in it.
  • Cooking consistency – I cook until the mixture coats the ladle. This shows it is ready to set.
  • Freezing properly – I freeze at least overnight for best texture. Less time may not set well.
  • Removing kulfi – I run mould under water for few seconds. It helps to remove kulfi easily.
