Chocolate Glaze Cookies Recipe

Chocolate Glaze Cookies are one of those treats that you can never stop at one. These are soft when fresh out of the oven and turn perfectly crisp as they cool down, with a nice chocolate glaze on top making them even more tempting. They are great for tea time or just for those sudden sweet cravings.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup flour
  • ¼ cup cocoa powder
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • cup cooking oil
  • ¼ cup milk
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda

FOR GLAZE:

  • ¼ cup icing sugar
  • 1 tablespoon coco powder
  • color sprinklers as needed

Notes

  • Spacing the cookies – I always keep enough space between each cookie while baking as they spread a bit. If you keep them too close they might stick together and shape will not be nice.
  • Glaze options – You can make the glaze with melted chocolate also instead of cocoa powder if you like it more rich. Just melt it slowly so it stays smooth and shiny.
  • Sugar adjustment – I use less sugar when I am adding glaze. But if you are making plain chocolate cookies then add little more sugar so taste will be balanced.
  • Baking time – I usually bake just till the edges start to set around 10 to 12 minutes. They look soft when you take out but they will become crisp after cooling.
  • Cookie cutters – Small cutters give more cookies and they bake quick also. You can shape by hand too if you want a more homely look.
